Blue Bottle Coffee opens Hakata café; Blue Box Café celebrates 1‑year with summer tea

Blue Bottle Coffee opened its second Kyushu location, Blue Bottle Coffee Hakata Café, on July 21 2026. The shop occupies the first floor of the Seinan City Building opposite Hakata Station, offers 91 seats, and features a design that reflects the local landscape with materials such as Imari porcelain and regional washi paper. The menu includes specialty coffee prepared by baristas, seasonal drinks like the ice‑Nor milk coffee, yuzu lemonade and a yuzu‑lemonade float, along with a limited‑time mentaiko toast created for the Hakata market.

In Tokyo, Blue Box Café by Natsuko Shoji marked its first anniversary with a “1st Anniversary Afternoon Tea” available through August 31 2026 at Tiffany & Co.’s Ginza flagship. The tea service showcases summer‑focused savory items such as corn croque‑monsieur, edamame‑caviar tart and corn‑prosciutto bites, plus desserts like peach melba and a three‑layer citrus jelly. A special cocktail, curated by award‑winning bartender Shogo Gotō, is also on offer during the promotion.
