Blue Dart Express appoints R S Subramanian as Managing Director

Blue Dart Express has announced a leadership transition, appointing R S Subramanian as its new Managing Director. Subramanian, who currently serves as the Managing Director of DHL Express India and Senior Vice President for South Asia, is scheduled to take charge on November 30, 2026, pending statutory approvals. He will hold the position until May 25, 2030.

Subramanian brings extensive experience to the role, having been a member of the Blue Dart board since 2019. His career includes over 30 years in product-led and service industries, including significant leadership roles at DHL Express and Hindustan Unilever.

The outgoing Managing Director, Balfour Manuel, will step down on November 29, 2026. To ensure a smooth succession and continuity of strategic priorities, Manuel will serve as a Senior Strategic Advisor to the Managing Director until May 15, 2027. Manuel has been associated with Blue Dart for 43 years.
