Blue Energy Motors signs MoU with India's MoRTH
Blue Energy Motors (BEM) has signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with India’s Ministry of Road Transport and Highways (MoRTH) under the government’s Parivartan Scheme. The initiative aims to accelerate the adoption of electric heavy-duty trucks by incentivizing the replacement of aging, high-emission commercial vehicles with cleaner alternatives.
The scheme specifically targets the Delhi and National Capital Region (NCR) to reduce transport-related pollution and improve air quality. By participating, Blue Energy Motors intends to support the transition to zero-emission freight and logistics through its electric and LNG-powered heavy-duty truck solutions.
Anirudh Bhuwalka, Founder and Managing Director of Blue Energy Motors, stated that the scheme is a vital step toward cleaner freight mobility. He emphasized that the transition depends on a combination of supportive government policy, advanced technology, and a robust domestic manufacturing ecosystem.
