Blue Hiking Day event scheduled for October 10 in Hungary

The VII. Blue Hiking Day is scheduled for October 10, organized by the Hungarian Nature Walkers Association (MTSZ). Participants can walk various sections of the National Blue Trail, the Rockenbauer Pál South Transdanubian Blue Trail, and the Great Plain Blue Trail in small groups.

Guided sections are led by experienced local experts, though participants can also choose self-guided routes. Those opting for self-guided paths can verify their completion via the official Blue Trail application to receive a certificate. Registration is available through the event's official website.

In Bordány, the Szarmata Archaeological Park will host hikers, offering free access to its internal exhibition, lookout tower, and the Ancient Bordány Park. To mark International Coffee Day, participants will be offered coffee or mineral water. One specific guided route will travel 14.7 kilometers from Zákány to Zsombó, passing through the characteristic sandy landscapes of the Homokhátság region.
