Blue Man Group announces Broadway debut with holiday show

Blue Man Group has announced its Broadway debut with a new production titled ‘A New Holiday Surprise’. The limited run is scheduled to begin at the Lunt-Fontanne Theatre on November 12, with an official opening night on November 17. Performances in New York are expected to continue through January 3, 2027.

This production marks the group’s first holiday-themed show. Beyond New York, the production will tour to Chicago’s CIBC Theatre from November 24 through December 13, and Boston’s Boch Center-Wang Theatre from December 15 through December 23. Additional tour dates are expected to be announced.

Owned by Cirque du Soleil Entertainment Group, Blue Man Group originally launched its Off-Broadway production at the Astor Place Theatre in 1991. Marie-Josée Adam, the group’s president and CEO, stated that the production is an opportunity to reintroduce the act to New York audiences with a show featuring classic holiday music performed on the group’s custom instruments.
