Blue Ops and Havoc partner on autonomous maritime defense systems

Red Cat Holdings, Inc., through its maritime division Blue Ops, has partnered with Havoc to develop open-architecture autonomous maritime defense systems. The collaboration aims to integrate Havoc’s collaborative autonomy software and command-and-control capabilities into Blue Ops’ uncrewed surface vessels (USVs), such as the Variant 7.

The integration is designed to facilitate coordinated multi-vessel operations and increase the range of autonomous functions available to U.S. and allied defense customers. This initiative utilizes a Modular Open Systems Architecture (MOSA) to allow for the rapid integration of sensors, communications, and mission technologies.

To support testing and training, the companies plan to establish operational fleets at Havoc’s headquarters in Rhode Island and Blue Ops’ headquarters in Florida, providing customers with access to integrated systems for live demonstrations.
