Blue Zone Forum Innovazul highlights Blue Economy and youth talent in Cádiz

The fourth edition of the Blue Zone Forum Innovazul, organized by the Zona Franca de Cádiz and the University of Cádiz (UCA), concluded with over 2,000 attendees. The event focused on the Blue Economy, innovation, and sustainability, emphasizing the connection between academic research and business opportunities.

Data from the Incubazul project indicates that 70% of early entrepreneurs were graduates of the University of Cádiz. Notable success stories included DeepSea Heritage, a project specializing in the non-intrusive digital management of underwater cultural heritage for offshore infrastructure projects, such as marine wind farms and submarine cables.

The forum also featured a significant presence of young people and highlighted female talent through the Blue Women forum. Olympic champion Carolina Marín delivered a keynote speech to the audience, focusing on themes of effort and perseverance.
