BlueBay takes control of company owning 97% of Malaga CF
The BlueBay hotel group has taken control of NAS Spain 2000, the entity that holds approximately 97 per cent of the shares in Malaga CF. Following a general meeting, Jamal Satli Iglesias and Javier Macías (identified in one report as Javier García Recio) were appointed to jointly manage NAS Spain, replacing the court-appointed administrator José María Muñoz.
While the management of NAS Spain has shifted, Muñoz remains the court-appointed administrator of the football club itself and retains the voting rights associated with the company’s stake. Legal representatives for BlueBay stated that the process to end the court administration of NAS Spain will now begin, which must be registered with the Mercantile Registry.
Following this transition, BlueBay intends to call a general meeting for Malaga CF to appoint a new board and may propose a capital increase to provide the club with additional funds. Jamal Satli Iglesias reiterated an intention to invest 600 million euros in the club, contingent upon resolving ownership and management issues.
Regarding club operations, Muñoz confirmed that Malaga CF possesses sufficient financial capacity to sign new players, specifically noting the possibility of acquiring free agents to address squad needs following long-term injuries.
