Blueface faces scrutiny after livestream incident with Nevaeh Akira

Rapper Blueface is facing intense social media scrutiny following a livestream incident involving his pregnant girlfriend, Nevaeh Akira. During a broadcast on the Kick platform, footage appeared to show Blueface kicking Akira in the lower back, sending her into a swimming pool. The video also appeared to show him pushing Akira’s young son into the water shortly after.

Concerned viewers reportedly contacted authorities, leading to a police welfare check at the couple’s residence. During the visit, Akira, who is in the advanced stages of pregnancy, informed officers that she was not in medical distress and denied that any physical altercation had occurred. She specifically stated she had not been kicked in the stomach and declined medical examination by firefighters. No arrests have been reported in connection with the incident.

In response to the backlash, a woman believed to be Akira’s mother released a video addressing social media comments. While she did not explicitly name Akira or Blueface, she appeared to defend her stance against users urging her to intervene in her daughter's life, stating that adults can move however they choose and that she has addressed the topic many times before.
