Blueprint Newspapers Awards honors Nigerian leaders in Abuja

The 2025 Blueprint Newspapers Annual Public Lecture, Impact Series and Awards Ceremony was held at the Bola Ahmed Tinubu International Conference Centre in Abuja. The event, themed ‘Security Challenges and Integrity of Nigeria’s 2027 Elections’, aimed to honor individuals demonstrating exemplary leadership and contributions to nation-building.

Among the recipients was Zamfara State Governor Dauda Lawal, who received the award for efficient public resource management and transparency. The organizers recognized Lawal for his fiscal accountability and prudent management of public resources. In his acceptance, Lawal stated the award serves as evidence that his administration's efforts in security, education, and infrastructure are being witnessed.

Other awardees included various state governors, such as Peter Ndubuisi Mbah of Enugu, Ahmad Aliyu of Sokoto, Agbu Kefas of Taraba, Umar Namadi of Jigawa, and Prince Bassey Edet Otu of Cross River. Also recognized were Central Bank of Nigeria Governor Olayemi Cardoso and several former governors and legislative leaders.
