Bluesky introduces iPad support and creator monetization tools

Bluesky has implemented several updates to its platform, including the addition of iPad support in its latest feature release.

The social media platform has also introduced a new Links section for user profiles. This feature allows users to pin websites, newsletters, and other social accounts directly below their bio. To support creator monetization, Bluesky automatically converts links to payment platforms such as Patreon and Ko-fi into prominent green buttons.

According to the company, this update is a preliminary step toward a broader vision for creator monetization across the Atmosphere, which is the name for the ecosystem of applications built on the AT Protocol. The new profile links are designed to send followers directly to destinations without the need for traditional 'link in bio' intermediary pages.
