Bluetooth connectivity and battery reporting on Windows

Bluetooth functionality on Windows 11 is managed through the Settings menu under Bluetooth and devices. Users can access these settings via the Start menu or through the quick settings icon near the system clock. If Bluetooth options are missing, it may indicate a lack of a compatible adapter or missing drivers. For Windows 10 users, it is noted that support for the operating system ended on October 14, 2025.

Regarding battery monitoring, native displays in Windows 11 and Android often provide inaccurate or incomplete information for modern True Wireless earbuds. This inaccuracy stems from the aging Battery Service standard within the GATT communication profile, which was designed for simple devices with a single power source.

Complex hardware, such as wireless earbuds, contains multiple batteries—typically for the left earbud, right earbud, and the charging case. Because the charging case often lacks an active radio connection to the host device, it cannot transmit telemetry data independently. Consequently, operating systems often display only a global average or the status of a single earbud, leading users to rely on manufacturer-specific third-party applications for precise battery readings.
