BLUETTI and UN-Habitat expand clean energy initiative to Nigeria
BLUETTI and UN-Habitat have expanded their ‘Lighting An African Family’ (LAAF) initiative to Benue State, Nigeria. This marks the second joint operation under the program, following a 2025 collaboration in Kenya.
From September 7 to 10, the initiative included a two-day solar energy workshop at Orshio Adasu University in Makurdi. To support practical learning, BLUETTI donated 50 PB200 solar lighting and storage sets and launched a ‘Campus Ambassador’ program to promote clean energy awareness among students and local communities.
The program also reached Yelwata in the Guma local government area, where electricity access is limited. BLUETTI donated 180 solar kits to households headed by women or elderly individuals, benefiting more than 1,000 residents by providing safer and more reliable power for daily needs, education, and communication.
