BLUETTI unveils Balco 500 smart energy storage at IFA 2026

At IFA 2026 in Berlin, clean energy company BLUETTI unveiled its Balco 500 smart energy solution, designed to expand the capabilities of balcony solar setups. While traditional balcony solar systems in Europe are often limited by an 800W grid feed-in cap, the Balco 500 functions as a comprehensive home energy storage system.

The all-in-one system features 5,024Wh of LFP storage, a combined grid/off-grid output of 3,680W, and solar input capacity of up to 4,600W. For larger residential needs, connecting three units to a breaker box can increase total output to 11kW.

The technology integrates AI-powered management through BlueBot AI-HEMS, a personal energy assistant that adapts to household consumption patterns, electricity tariffs, and weather forecasts. The system also includes a plug-and-play phase-match technology to address three-phase power challenges in European homes.
