BluHub crowdfunding campaign raises over $322,000 on Kickstarter

The BluHub, a 9-in-1 external Blu-ray drive and docking station, has seen massive success on Kickstarter, raising over $322,000 from more than 4,200 backers. This far exceeds the original funding goal of $700.

Designed to restore optical drive functionality to modern laptops lacking built-in ports, the device functions as a Blu-ray, DVD, and CD reader/writer. It also serves as a hub featuring four USB-A ports, an SD slot, and a microSD slot. The device connects via USB-C or USB-A and is designed to operate without an external power supply.

Early backers can secure the device for $59, while the planned retail price is $129. The developers aim to begin worldwide shipping by November 2026.
