Blum welcomes 91 new apprentices globally
Hardware manufacturer Blum has welcomed 91 new apprentices as part of its global training program. The distribution of new trainees includes 76 in Vorarlberg, eight in the United States, four in Poland, and three in China.
In total, the company is training 372 young people across ten technical professions worldwide. Blum emphasizes a model that combines practical vocational training with higher education, such as high-tech apprenticeships that allow students to earn a university entrance qualification (Matura) during paid working hours.
Training director Robert Kaufmann noted a growing interest in these hybrid models. The company also utilizes interactive digital tools, including gaming-style videos, to help prospective trainees explore career paths before beginning their formal education.
