Blumenau Beer Museum celebrates 30th anniversary
The Beer Museum of Blumenau is celebrating its 30th anniversary. Located in the historic center of Blumenau, Brazil—a city legally recognized as the Brazilian Beer Capital since 2017—the museum was originally inaugurated in 1996 and underwent modernization in 2022 through a private sector concession.
To mark the milestone, a public celebration will be held at Praça Hercílio Luz. The event features cultural performances by the Blumenau Municipal Band and the Blumenauer Volkstanzgruppe folk dance group.
Three major updates accompany the anniversary: the unveiling of a new mural by local artist Jean Tomedi depicting the history of Praça Hercílio Luz, the announcement of winners for the first Beer Museum Brewing Contest (featuring a Vienna Lager recipe to be sold during the 41st Oktoberfest), and the implementation of two new accessibility initiatives.
