Blumenau Oktoberfest 2026 introduces half‑price tickets and receives overwhelming local cultural endorsement

The 41st edition of Oktoberfest Blumenau, scheduled for 7–25 October 2026 at Parque Vila Germânica, will offer half‑price admission to groups covered by federal, state and municipal laws, including students, teachers, seniors, people with disabilities, low‑income youth and regular blood donors. Ticket holders must present official photo ID and, where required, supporting documentation such as a student ID card, payroll slip or proof of donation.

A new survey conducted by the municipal Project Focus in partnership with the Federal University of Blumenau (Furb) and the University of Vale do Itajaí (Univali) interviewed 1,328 adult residents. The results show that 80.7% believe the festival preserves Blumenau’s cultural identity, 82.6% say it keeps German heritage alive, and over 80% support its tourism‑boosting role. Only 34% expressed interest in volunteering for the event, highlighting a potential area for greater community involvement. The study’s findings reinforce the festival’s status as a key cultural and economic asset for the city.
