Blumenau unveils new visual identity and city brand

The city of Blumenau has launched a new visual identity designed to reflect its core characteristics and essence. Based on research conducted with the local population, the new brand is built around the concept of ‘Cultura do Fazer’ (Culture of Doing), which emphasizes the acts of creating, building, caring, and transforming.

The identity aims to connect the city's history with its future, incorporating references to local architecture, nature, and labor. A key feature is a custom-developed typography where geometric cuts reference ‘enxaimel’ (half-timbered) architecture, and strong strokes symbolize work and construction, creating a visual skyline that represents the city across different generations.
