Blumhouse and Atomic Monster announce new horror slate at NYCC

At New York Comic Con’s Blumfest 2026, Blumhouse Productions and Atomic Monster announced a significant slate of horror projects scheduled for 2027. Among the major announcements is a development deal with horror content creator Heidi Wong, who will produce original short films inspired by Eastern mythology and folklore.

Host Matthew Patrick revealed a collaboration with Blumhouse to create a film series based on indie horror games and digital channels, including a teaser for a project based on the game ‘Amanda the Adventurer’.

Other upcoming projects discussed include ‘Molepeople’, ‘Anything but Ghosts’, and an adaptation of ‘Something’s Killing the Children’. The studio’s upcoming theatrical releases also include ‘River’, slated for January.
