B&M confirms August store closures for refurbishment and relocation

B&M, a UK discount retailer with more than 700 stores and a workforce of over 35,000, announced specific dates for temporary closures of two outlets in August 2026. The Carmarthen, Wales store on Hall Street will close on 15 August and reopen in a larger former B&Q building on Glanyrafon Road as Parc Pensam on 22 August.

The Hylton Riverside Retail Park store in Sunderland will close for refurbishment on 16 August and reopen on 22 August. B&M said the works are intended to deliver a “bigger and better B&M experience” and apologised for any inconvenience caused.
