BMKG forecasts rain across West Java through November 5

The Meteorology, Climatology, and Geophysics Agency (BMKG) has issued weather forecasts for West Java, predicting light to heavy rainfall between November 2 and November 5, 2026. Atmospheric phenomena, including the Madden-Julian Oscillation (MJO) and Kelvin waves, are expected to increase convective cloud growth and precipitation in the region.

On November 2, moderate to heavy rain accompanied by lightning and strong winds is predicted for Bogor, Purwakarta, Subang, Cianjur, Sukabumi, Bandung, West Bandung, Sumedang, Garut, and Tasikmalaya. On November 3, the affected areas expand to include Ciamis, Banjar, and Pangandaran. By November 4, rainfall is expected to continue in Bogor, Cianjur, Sukabumi, Bandung, and Garut, while Sukabumi remains a primary area of concern on November 5.

In Garut specifically, forecasts for October 31 indicate widespread light rain with temperatures ranging from 17 to 30 degrees Celsius and high humidity levels between 63 and 99 percent. Residents in highland areas such as Cisurupan and Cikajang are advised to be cautious of slippery roads and potential puddles.
