BMLEH Animal Welfare Prize awarded to 22 riders

Twenty-two riders have been awarded the BMLEH Animal Welfare Prize for demonstrating exceptionally horse-friendly behavior and respectful preparation of their horses. The award, an initiative by the German Federal Ministry of Food and Agriculture (BMLEH) in collaboration with Pferdesport Deutschland, was presented during the Al Shira'aa Bundeschampionaten in Warendorf.

Since its inception in 2014, the special honor has been awarded during final competitions to recognize those who stand out for their positive conduct in preparation areas. The prize aims to highlight exemplary behavior and promote humane treatment of horses in both leisure and competitive sports. Among the recipients is team world champion Malin Hansen-Hotopp.
