BMW adds Edition Shadow trim to 4 Series Gran Coupe in Japan

BMW Japan announced on 15 July that a new special‑edition trim, Edition Shadow, will be added to the 4 Series Gran Coupe lineup. The model will be sold through all authorised BMW dealers nationwide, with first deliveries expected from September.

The Edition Shadow version features a black high‑gloss kidney grille, M‑style shadow‑line exterior trim, black door‑mirror caps, 19‑inch M‑light alloy wheels, adaptive LED headlights and laser tail‑lights. Inside, leather seats with heating, a heated steering wheel and silver‑accented switches raise the interior quality to a level comparable with the 5 Series. Two powertrain options are offered: a 2.0‑litre gasoline‑turbo 420i and a 2.0‑litre diesel‑turbo 420d xDrive. Prices start at ¥7.64 million for the gasoline model and ¥8.22 million for the diesel version.
