BMW and Kith unveil custom X5 while Chery reveals Arrizo 7

BMW and fashion brand Kith have announced the fourth chapter of their collaboration, titled ‘Kith for BMW 2026’. The project features a unique restoration of a 2000 BMW X5 E53. This first-generation model has been extensively rebuilt and equipped with a 5.0-liter V10 S85 engine and a six-speed manual transmission—a powertrain never originally offered in this specific generation. The project, led by Kith founder Ronnie Fieg, also includes a new-generation X5 developed jointly with Kith, alongside a collection of apparel and accessories.

In separate automotive news, Chery has released initial images of the second-generation Arrizo 7. The sedan features a design that draws visual comparisons to Audi and Volkswagen models, specifically noting a front grille reminiscent of Audi’s Singleframe and LED headlights similar to the Audi A6. The vehicle utilizes a fastback silhouette with a sloping roofline. Chery is scheduled to reveal full technical specifications, including dimensions, engines, and pricing, at the Chengdu Auto Show on August 21, 2026.
