BMW Group reaches milestone of two million electric vehicle deliveries

BMW Group has reached a major milestone by delivering its two millionth fully electric vehicle. The milestone vehicle, a BMW i5 M60 xDrive manufactured in Dingolfing, was delivered to a customer in Spain.

Since the launch of the BMW i3 in late 2013, the company has delivered approximately 3.5 million electrified vehicles globally when including plug-in hybrids. In the first half of 2026, more than one in four vehicles sold by the group featured an electrified powertrain.

Growth is heavily driven by the European market, where battery-electric vehicles (BEVs) accounted for 28% of sales in the first half of 2026. The BMW iX3 has been a significant contributor to this trend, with nearly 100,000 orders expected in Europe. The company is also advancing its Neue Klasse architecture, which serves as the technological foundation for its upcoming electric models, including the new i3.
