BMW announces Japan-exclusive M2 CS Edition EDGE

BMW has announced the “BMW M2 CS Edition EDGE,” a limited-edition model exclusive to the Japanese market. Scheduled for release in September 2026, only 40 units will be produced, split equally between Black Sapphire and M Brooklyn Grey finishes.

Based on the high-performance M2 CS, this special edition incorporates M Performance parts and Carbon Fiber Reinforced Plastic (CFRP) components for the roof, trunk lid, mirror caps, and diffuser. These additions result in a weight reduction of approximately 30kg. The interior features M Alcantara steering wheels, M carbon bucket seats, and a dedicated center console.

The vehicle is powered by a 3.0-liter inline-six BMW M TwinPower Turbo engine producing 530ps and 650Nm of torque. It is designed for enhanced track performance through optimized engine mounts, suspension settings, and electronic control systems.
