BMW announces upcoming vehicle updates and new motorcycle concepts

BMW is advancing its automotive and motorcycle lineups with upcoming updates and new concept reveals.

For its passenger vehicle division, a restyling of the BMW 5 Series Touring is expected in 2027. Development is underway to incorporate updated exterior styling, including redesigned bumpers and headlights, along with advanced interior technology such as the BMW Panoramic iDrive. The update will also focus on powertrain evolution to meet Euro 7 standards, potentially including new plug-in hybrid and fully electric variants.

In the motorcycle sector, BMW Motorrad returned to EICMA 2024, showcasing several new models and concepts. Key highlights include the 'Concept F450GS,' a lightweight 450cc parallel-twin motorcycle slated for a 2025 market launch, with production expected to be outsourced to TVS Motor in India. Additionally, the company unveiled the 'M RR WSBK Champion Edition 2024,' a limited production run of 54 units based on the M1000RR to celebrate its Superbike World Championship title. Other notable displays included the R20 Concept and updated S1000R models.
