BMW Berlin Marathon runner raises awareness for hearing impairment

In preparation for the BMW Berlin Marathon on September 27, 2026, runner ‘Papa Wutz’ and deaf marathoner Thomas Eller held training sessions at the Cologne Rhine riverbank.

The initiative aims to raise awareness for the social inclusion of deaf and hard-of-hearing children. The timing of the marathon coincides with World Deaf Day. Donations from the event will support the ‘BundesElternverband hörgeschädigter Kinder e. V.’ via the ‘Stiftung RTL – Wir helfen Kindern e. V.’
