BMW crashes into Jacksonville hair salon, pinning customers

A BMW crashed through the front windows of Zinke Hair Studio at the St. Johns Town Center in Jacksonville, Florida, pinning several people against the reception desk.

Surveillance footage captured the vehicle entering the building and striking the checkout counter. Among those caught in the impact were clients Aubrie Simpson-Gotham and her husband, Steven Gotham. While scans showed no internal injuries for Simpson-Gotham, Steven Gotham suffered a chest contusion. Salon owner Bert Peterson reported that a salon manager was also pinned during the incident, though all three individuals survived without serious injuries.

The crash caused extensive property damage, and the salon is expected to remain closed for at least a week. The incident has left approximately 20 stylists without immediate work at the location, though some clients have been transitioned to the business’s second location. Peterson stated that the team is working to rebook appointments and plans to donate damaged products to a local charity.
