BMW Group surpasses 2 million pure electric vehicle deliveries

BMW Group has reached a major operational milestone, surpassing 2 million cumulative deliveries of pure electric vehicles (BEV). This achievement comes approximately 13 years after the introduction of the BMW i3 in 2013. When including plug-in hybrids (PHEV), the group’s total electrified vehicle deliveries have exceeded 3.5 million units.

Regional performance shows significant divergence. In Europe, BEV sales grew by 28.2% in 2025, while the South Korean market has emerged as a key driver, with BMW maintaining the top position among German premium brands for three consecutive years. Conversely, the U.S. market saw a 56% decrease in BMW BEV sales from January to July compared to the previous year.

In the financial sector, Citigroup has placed BMW on its ‘Positive Catalyst Watch’ list, anticipating potential positive news ahead of the company’s capital market day in late September. While Citigroup maintains a ‘Neutral’ rating, analysts are closely watching for strategic updates from the new leadership. BMW’s stock recently saw a significant uptick, closing at 62.70 euros following the delivery announcement.
