BMW i3 First Edition electric sedan promises up to 906 km range
BMW unveiled the i3 First Edition, the first fully electric model in its Series 3 line, available for pre‑order across Europe ahead of its commercial launch slated for autumn 2026. The i3 50 xDrive combines two electric motors, one per axle, delivering 469 hp (345 kW) and 645 Nm of torque, accelerating from 0–100 km/h in 4.7 seconds. Its 108.7 kWh battery and 800‑volt architecture enable a WLTP‑tested range of up to 906 km, and fast charging can add about 420 km of range in ten minutes using high‑power DC stations.
Standard equipment includes the new BMW Panoramic Vision display, BMW Operating System X, M Sport package, Harman Kardon audio, 3‑D head‑up display, digital key, and optional V2L/V2H capabilities for vehicle‑to‑load and vehicle‑to‑home power supply. Pricing starts at €74,850, with a leasing offer of €790 per month for qualified customers who take delivery before the end of 2026. BMW positions the i3 First Edition as a strategic step toward broader electrification of its model range.
