BMW iX3 lauded for rapid 400 kW charging and strong highway range

The ADAC’s latest electric‑vehicle ranking places the BMW iX3 50 xDrive at the top with a score of 1.9, highlighting its high power output, efficient drivetrain and long WLTP range of 743 km. Test data show that a 15‑minute DC charge from 10 % to 65 % state‑of‑charge delivers a peak 400 kW charging rate and adds 238 km of highway driving at a constant 120 km/h, with a consumption of 24 kWh per 100 km. The iX3’s 108‑kWh net battery and aggressive thermal management enable the fast‑charge performance, while its 469 hp output and 645 Nm torque provide strong acceleration (0‑100 km/h in 4.9 s). A Danish review notes the model’s extended warranty, sporty chassis setup and precise steering, though it mentions a firmer ride on rough roads. Overall, the iX3 is presented as a practical, long‑distance electric SUV with a focus on minimizing charging downtime.
