BMW launches 2027 X3 with new design and AI features

BMW has officially launched the 2027 BMW X3, with prices starting at 318,000 yuan. The updated model features several aesthetic and functional upgrades, most notably a new M-style horizontal kidney grille that provides a wider, lower visual stance.

Interior and comfort enhancements include new stitching details on the dashboard, simplified seat color schemes, and the introduction of Dune Grey exclusive paint. Standard features across the lineup now include front seat ventilation, heated rear seats, and electric lumbar support for both the driver and front passenger.

Technologically, the vehicle will feature a BMW AI Personal Assistant based on a cloud-based large language model, capable of multi-turn dialogue and complex problem analysis. This software is expected to be rolled out via OTA updates starting in late August 2026.

Under the hood, the X3 retains its 2.0T inline-four engine, offering two power outputs: 140kW/310N·m and 190kW/400N·m, paired with an 8-speed automatic transmission. The model comes standard with xDrive intelligent all-wheel drive and the ninth-generation lateral dynamics management system.
