BMW launches upgraded iX1 and iX2 electric SUVs in Taiwan

BMW’s Taiwanese distributor announced the launch of the new‑year iX1 and iX2 electric SUVs, with sales starting on 15 July 2026. Both models adopt a new‑generation silicon‑carbide (SiC) inverter and upgrade the charging port to the European CCS2 standard.

The iX1 eDrive20 xLine is priced at NT$2.05 million, delivers 204 hp and now reaches a WLTP range of 503 km, while the iX1 xDrive30 xLine costs NT$2.35 million, offers 313 hp and a 458 km range. The iX2 xDrive30 M Sport is listed at NT$2.43 million, produces 313 hp, accelerates to 100 km/h in 5.6 s and achieves a WLTP range of 472 km. Prices are about NT$10 thousand higher than the previous year’s versions.

All variants come equipped with BMW’s Personal Co‑Pilot driver‑assist system, advanced infotainment, and premium interior finishes, positioning the models as the brand’s entry‑level electric SUV offerings in the Taiwanese market.
