BMW M reaches one million high-performance vehicles produced
BMW M has reached a major production milestone, manufacturing its one-millionth high-performance vehicle at the BMW Group plant in Munich, Germany. The milestone car is a BMW M3 finished in a special BMW Individual Fire Orange III paint.
BMW M, which was established in 1972, has evolved from a racing division into a leading manufacturer of high-performance automobiles. The milestone specifically counts pure M models developed by the division rather than standard BMW models with M Sport aesthetic packages.
Looking toward the future, the Munich plant is preparing for a significant transition. The facility is scheduled to begin production of the first fully electric BMW M3 starting in 2027.
