The X5 was named CarExpert’s Best Large Luxury SUV for 2026, praised for its practical split‑tailgate, turbocharged six‑cylinder options, plug‑in hybrid variant and high‑performance V8‑powered M60i and M Competition versions. Small and medium SUVs represent roughly half of all new vehicle sales in Australia, underscoring BMW’s strong market presence.
