BMW Motorrad launches F 450 R naked motorcycle

BMW Motorrad has launched the F 450 R, a new naked roadster designed to appeal to A2 license holders, returning riders, and experienced motorcyclists seeking a lighter machine for urban and winding road use.

The motorcycle features a liquid-cooled 420 cc parallel-twin engine producing 35 kW (48 hp) and 43 Nm of torque. Notably, 80% of its peak torque is available at 3,000 rpm, ensuring responsive low-end power. The bike weighs 175 kg and can reach 100 km/h in 5.7 seconds.

Technological highlights include an optional ‘Easy Ride Clutch’ (ERC) and quickshifter, allowing for gear changes and starts without using the clutch lever. Standard safety and electronic features include ABS Pro and Dynamic Traction Control. The design draws inspiration from the S 1000 R, featuring an aggressive stance, LED lighting, and adjustable seat heights ranging from 775 mm to 810 mm.
