BMW Motorrad unveils M 1000 RS hyper naked motorcycle
BMW Motorrad has unveiled the M 1000 RS, a limited-edition hyper naked motorcycle showcased at EICMA. The model is described by the company as the most powerful hyper naked in the world, featuring a 999cc inline-four engine derived from the M 1000 RR superbike.
In European specifications, the engine produces 218 hp, while the US version is rated at 205 hp due to local noise regulations. The motorcycle has a DIN unladen weight of 196 kg and is expected to achieve 0 to 100 km/h in 3.2 seconds with a top speed of 283 km/h.
Production is strictly limited to 1,000 units worldwide, with global availability scheduled to begin in March 2027. The M 1000 RS incorporates high-performance components including an M full titanium exhaust system, carbon fiber winglets, and M Carbon wheels. The riding position is more aggressive than the standard M 1000 R, featuring a seat height increase of 20 mm and M rider footrests to shift weight toward the front wheel.
In Germany, the retail price is set at approximately €40,000.
