BMW, Nissan, and Toyota to skip 2026 Paris Motor Show

Major automotive manufacturers BMW, Nissan, and Toyota will not participate in the 2026 Paris Motor Show, scheduled for October 13–18. The decision stems from the high costs associated with exhibition stands, which these companies no longer deem profitable in the current economic climate.

BMW had initially confirmed its participation but reversed the decision following a review of its financial performance, including a 3.5% drop in global sales and a 17.5% decline in the Chinese market. Consequently, the brand will miss the opportunity to debut several highly anticipated models, including the fifth-generation X5, the electric iX3, and the new i3.

Nissan is also withdrawing as part of a drastic budget adjustment plan to address significant financial losses. The company is prioritizing financial survival and cost-cutting measures over high-expenditure industry events.
