BMW reaches production milestones in Dingolfing and M division
BMW Group has reached a significant manufacturing milestone at its Dingolfing plant in Germany, producing its 13 millionth vehicle. The milestone vehicle was a BMW M4 Convertible finished in Borusan Turkish Blue, intended for the US market.
Operating since 1973, the Dingolfing facility has become one of Europe’s largest and most flexible automotive production hubs. It currently produces various models, including the BMW 4 Series, 5 Series, 7 Series, and the all-electric iX. The plant plans to integrate the new BMW 3 Series Sedan into its production program starting in November.
Separately, the BMW M high-performance division has surpassed the production of one million M models since its inception in 1972. The M3 model remains a central component of this achievement, accounting for a significant portion of the total high-performance units produced.
