BMW transport truck destroyed by fire in Tamaulipas

A car carrier truck transporting nine new BMW vehicles was destroyed by fire on the Rumbo Nuevo highway near Ciudad Victoria, Tamaulipas. The incident occurred around 9:00 PM on Tuesday, September 1, near kilometer 2 of the highway.

The truck was traveling from San Luis Potosí toward the Port of Altamira when the fire broke out. Although the driver attempted to use a fire extinguisher, the flames spread rapidly, consuming the entire trailer and all nine luxury vehicles. The fire also spread to nearby grasslands and structures.

Emergency responders from the Fire Department, State Guard, and Civil Protection arrived to control the blaze and manage traffic disruptions on the affected stretch of road. No injuries or fatalities were reported as the driver managed to exit the vehicle before the fire intensified. Authorities have not yet officially determined the cause of the fire, though preliminary reports suggest nearby vegetation fire may have contributed to the incident.
