BMW unveils all‑electric M Concept Neue Klasse at 24 Hours of Le Mans

At the 2026 24 Hours of Le Mans endurance race, German automaker BMW used the historic venue to present its M Concept Neue Klasse, an all‑electric performance vehicle. The concept features four electric motors, a high‑voltage battery of more than 100 kWh, extreme aerodynamics with a “shark‑nose” front and duck‑tail spoiler, and interior innovations such as full‑grain nubuck leather and a knit‑finished cockpit. BMW described it as the future of the M‑brand, saying it is “born on the track, designed for the road.”

In the same event, Italian driver Matteo Cressoni competed in the LMGT‑3 class aboard the Mercedes‑Iron Lynx #79. The team secured third place in the Michelin Cup before an engine problem forced them to retire early in the morning, which Cressoni attributed to a teammate’s error. He praised teammate Johannes Zelger’s performance and noted the experience will be used to return stronger next year.
