BMW unveils electric M3 Concept alongside classic 1986 E30 M3 in new photo series

BMW has released new images of its electric M3 concept, named the M Concept Neue Klasse, positioned next to an original 1986 E30 M3. Both cars are shown in red shades— the concept in a Monza Red metallic finish and the classic in the period‑correct Cinebar Red. The concept is built on the forthcoming i3 Neue Klasse sedan platform, with a substantially widened body to accommodate broader arches and a V‑shaped front vent for thermal management. It is equipped with up to four electric motors, an 800‑volt architecture and BMW’s proprietary “Heart of Joy” control software, though performance figures and range have not been disclosed; launch is targeted for 2027 and speculation suggests power could approach 1,000 hp. Design cues deliberately echo the E30 M3, including the shark‑nose front, duck‑tail spoiler, and black cross‑spoke wheels, while adding modern touches such as center‑lock wheels with GT‑3 colour coding and a new interior layout featuring Bathurst‑blue bucket seats.
