BMW unveils electric M3 Concept Neue Klasse at Le Mans

BMW revealed its Concept Neue Klasse, an all‑electric M3 that previews the next generation of high‑performance M models. The car was shown during the 24‑Hour of Le Mans race, underscoring the brand’s link to motorsport. It is powered by four independent electric motors delivering up to 1,000 hp, controlled by the new M eDrive system and a central Heart‑of‑Joy computer that manages torque and braking wheel‑by‑wheel. The architecture runs on an 800‑volt platform with a battery of more than 100 kWh, enabling rapid charging and sustained power output. Design cues include a wider body, a shark‑nose front, carbon‑fiber interior elements, and distinctive “M Yellow Lights”. BMW says the concept demonstrates that electric drivetrains can retain the traditional M‑values of agility and driver focus.
