BMW unveils high‑performance M3 Touring and M5 in Argentina, rolls out M2 xDrive pricing in Spain

BMW Group Argentina took the BMW M3 Competition Touring and the hybrid BMW M5 to the Juan María Traverso circuit in San Nicolás, with Argentine driver Julián Santero demonstrating their performance. The M3 Competition Touring uses a 530 hp inline‑six, all‑wheel‑drive with a selectable 2WD mode and reached over 240 km/h; Santero said it can surpass some competition cars. The M5 pairs a 4.4 L V8 with an electric motor for a combined 727 hp and 1,000 Nm, accelerating from 0‑100 km/h in 3.5 s and delivering handling comparable to the M3.

BMW also announced the price of the forthcoming BMW M2 xDrive for the Spanish market at €101,500, slightly above rear‑wheel‑drive versions. The M2 xDrive retains the 3.0‑L inline‑six with 480 hp and adds the M xDrive all‑wheel‑drive system, accelerating 0‑100 km/h in 3.4‑3.7 s and limited to 250 km/h (up to 285 km/h with the M Driver package). Production will begin in 2026 at the San Luis Potosí plant in Mexico.
