BMW Z4 Final Edition Marks End of Model as Swiss Tuner Unveils Custom Roadster
BMW announced the end of production for its G29 Z4 roadster in March 2026 and released a limited‑edition "Final Edition" to celebrate the model’s departure. The special version is offered in an exclusive Frozen Black paint finish and three powertrains – a 197 hp sDrive20i, a 258 hp sDrive30i and a 340 hp M40i, all paired with an eight‑speed automatic.
Swiss tuner Edo Motorsport presented two bespoke variants built on the Z4 M40i platform: the Edo Roadster Concorso and the Edo Roadster Ultraleggera. Both models feature a tuned 3.0‑litre B58 engine delivering roughly 400 hp and 600 Nm, golden‑finished 20‑inch forged wheels, and a revised interior with bespoke leather and alcantara. The Concorso emphasizes grand‑touring comfort while the Ultraleggera targets higher performance, positioning the cars as unofficial successors to the Alpina‑styled Z4 concept.
