BNDES promotes Exim Pré-embarque to boost Brazilian exports

BNDES has highlighted its Exim Pré-embarque line as a tool to boost Brazilian exports by providing financial support during the production phase. This credit line is designed to assist companies that have international orders but require capital to pay suppliers, acquire raw materials, and manage production costs before the goods are shipped.

Access to this credit is indirect, meaning businesses obtain it through accredited financial institutions rather than directly from BNDES. Aloizio Mercadante, president of the bank, noted that lowering financing costs is essential for Brazilian industry to remain competitive in global markets, where more than 90% of demand exists outside of Brazil. The program allows entrepreneurs up to five years to finance their export cycles.
