BNP leaders issue warnings amid death anniversary of M. Saifur Rahman

Mirza Abbas, a standing committee member of the Bangladesh Nationalist Party (BNP), has issued a warning regarding conspiracies being orchestrated both inside and outside the party. Speaking at a discussion meeting marking the 48th anniversary of the BNP, Abbas urged party chairman Tarique Rahman to remain vigilant, noting that some members may appear supportive in person while speaking differently in private.

Separately, the 17th death anniversary of former Finance and Planning Minister M. Saifur Rahman is being observed. A former close associate of Ziaur Rahman and a key figure in the BNP, Saifur Rahman served in various ministerial capacities under the administrations of Ziaur Rahman, Abdus Sattar, and Khaleda Zia. To mark the occasion, the Sylhet District BNP has organized a prayer meeting at the Hazrat Shahjalal (R) Dargah Mosque.
