BNSP implements national tourism certification schemes for workforce

The National Professional Certification Agency (BNSP) has conducted its first assessment witnessing of six professional certification bodies (LSP) to strengthen the competence of 80 human resources in the tourism sector. This initiative marks the implementation of national tourism certification schemes and the gradual introduction of electronic competency certificates.

Working in collaboration with the Ministry of Tourism, the BNSP has established 483 national certification schemes covering 34 tourism fields. These complement 84 ASEAN qualification and occupancy schemes, aiming to ensure Indonesian tourism workers are professional, productive, and competitive at both the national and ASEAN levels.

The participating LSPs include LSP Pariwisata Gunadharma Utama, LSP Kuliner Kreatif Indonesia, LSP SPA Kecantikan DEA, LSP Pariwisata Hospitaliti Nasional, LSP Pariwisata Nasional Rahenda, and LSP Rajawali Hospitality Nusantara. These institutions tested various roles, including chefs, baristas, housekeeping, and front office managers, to meet evolving market demands.
